About Elayna
Elayna is a heart- and earth-centered bodyworker, farmer, and movement facilitator based in Portland, Oregon. Her practice is grounded in a client-led approach that honors the whole being—body, mind, and spirit. Born and raised in Portland, Elayna is deeply committed to nourishing her city and helping it thrive, one relationship at a time.
She has been working with bodies and teaching yoga since completing her Yoga Teacher Training at The Sola School in Portland in 2015. That same year, she moved to Tacoma, Washington, to attend the University of Puget Sound, where she studied Fine Art, Education, and Gender & Queer Studies, graduating in 2019.
While in Tacoma, Elayna became deeply embedded in community care work. She supported elders in care homes and taught yoga through the organization Yoga Behind Bars, working with young adults in juvenile detention centers and women in prison. These experiences profoundly shaped her understanding of healing, teaching, and connection. Elayna believes in a world that prioritizes growth over punishment, healing over harm, and community over isolation.
Elayna’s teaching style is slow, steady, and trauma-informed. She believes that peace begins in the nervous system and that when we soften internally, our bodies follow. Her classes are student-centered and grounded, drawing from restorative, Iyengar, Hatha, and Yin yoga traditions. Elayna loves working with props and crafts each class in response to the needs of the people in the room. Her offerings are always heart-led.
In 2019, Elayna returned to Portland to be closer to family and pursue her passions for teaching and farming. She eventually found herself on production farms, growing food, flowers, and herbs for her community—work that remains central to her life.
Elayna began her formal massage training at East West College in 2023 and graduated in 2024. Her bodywork is intuitive and integrative, drawing from both Eastern and Western traditions. Her touch is informed by myofascial release, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, craniosacral therapy, Thai massage and Ayurveda. Elayna’s sessions leave clients feeling rooted, restored, and more connected to themselves. Her work gently addresses the root causes of discomfort while inviting deeper embodiment and rest.
When she’s not working with bodies, Elayna can be found tending her farm, where she cultivates vegetables, herbs, and flowers to share through a CSA. A Taurus at heart, she delights in fresh fruit, warm baths, quiet time with loved ones, and long snuggles with her beloved cats, Dusty and Francis.
Elayna’s work is inspired by the visionary voices of adrienne maree brown, Audre Lorde, Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, Roxane Gay, Octavia E. Butler, Judith Butler, and Sonya Renee Taylor.
Elayna lives and works on the stolen lands of the Multnomah, Clackamas and Kalapuya tribes.
